Ahead of the third and final vote in the House of Commons on Bill C-234, An Act to amend the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act, it is important that we collectively highlight the importance of the bill to Canadian farmers, growers, and ranchers to Members of Parliament across Canada.
We encourage you and your neighbours to show your support for this bill by writing to your Member of Parliament through the ACA click & submit campaign.
Bill C-234 will extend the exemption from carbon pricing for on-farm use of propane and natural gas, whether it’s irrigation, grain drying, feed preparation, heating or cooling of barns, greenhouses, and other growing structures. It will provide much-needed economic relief, leaving more money in the pockets of farmers to re-invest in the efficiency of their operations.
