UFA has announced the opening of a brand-new, relocated petroleum agency for Wildwood. The member-owned co-operative has served the community and surrounding area for more than 60 years!
In 2021, UFA announced plans to relocate the hamlet's petroleum agency. It was critical to keep the business in the community when it began looking for a new location as part of our continued investment in the province of Alberta and its rural communities. Conveniently located with easy access to the highway, the team at UFA is happy to announce that the new location is officially open!
The original Wildwood UFA Cardlock Agency opened in 1961 and, after decades of service, it was time to move and upgrade the site to better serve members and customers. UFA has doubled the current product offering including the addition of Dieselex Gold, exclusive to UFA, and dyed Premium Diesel. The site has also expanded from two lanes to five and the new cardlock will reinvigorate the community by bringing in new highway traffic, with easier and better access to the site.
Together with the Wildwood Planning and Development Committee, UFA was diligent in accurately assessing the community impact of this proposed new location and received overwhelming support recognizing the new cardlock as a positive investment for the Hamlet of Wildwood. The business is vital to the community, and the co-operative has not only made it easier for customers to do business with us but safer as well.
Wildwood’s Petroleum Agents, Kim and Dennis Brodersen remain the agents who have been here for all of their customer’s fuel and lubricant needs, going above and beyond with customer service. They are pillars in the community, and they care about what’s best for Wildwood.
Through a robust Community Investment program, UFA has made it a priority to continue supporting the local 4-H clubs and local food banks in Wildwood and surrounding communities. The co-operative is remediating the old site and donating the land to Yellowhead County to be used as a park/greenspace across from the senior’s centre.
