Manager, Construction - Vendor & Contract Management

Position Summary:

UFA is growing and looking for an experienced leader with a proven track record of performance. As a strategic leader within the business unit, you will be responsible for supporting & partnering with key contractors & installation services vendors to shape the success of UFA's Cooperative. The Manager, Construction - Vendor & Contract Management will play an integral part in raising the bar to provide support & business rules for development of vendor and product offerings.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Operations the Manager, Construction - Vendor & Contract Management is responsible for the overall relationships with external vendors during the course of the Contract and shall act as the central point of contact.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Understands contractual terms and conditions, and their commercial implications to the business in order to effectively manage vendor agreement(s) and relationships.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with internal partners and vendor(s) to ensure business priorities requirements are clearly understood and met, and objectives are aligned.
  • Manages vendor relationship to business' strategic goals and objectives, understanding and reconciling competing priorities and evolving business requirements.
  • Develops and monitors team objectives, financial targets, and operating budgets.
  • Maintains key customer and outside vendor relationships and ensure exceptional products and services are being delivered.
  • Responsible for streamlining and coordinating activities.
  • Monitors and coordinates with administrative service activities to support all CPS projects.
  • Collaborates with the sales and service management to deliver customer service and area sales results.
  • Collaborates with operations management to deliver customer service and profitable project execution.
  • Develops and coordinates the implementation of sales plans with Farm & Ranch Sales and Service, Marketing, Product management and Operations management to identify opportunities for market share growth for all of UFA.
  • Builds a business framework for developing, assessing and deciding on new pro service partnerships.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in Agriculture, Business, or relevant field required.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the construction/building industry.
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office required.
  • Prior experience managing a project execution team with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong time management capabilities, with the ability to perform multiple tasks and objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable In assembling multiple points of view and finding a common ground.
  • Class 5 driver’s license required.
