Position Summary:

Reporting to the Manager,  Petroleum Supply, the Distribution Coordinator will coordinate the effective and efficient distribution in supplying UFA agency sites and customers with fuel along with assisting in providing information for the budget process and various fuel and distribution reporting in order to enable management to make sound business decision and meeting company’s objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

• Work with Manager, Petroleum Supply on Inventory Optimization, communicate the targets to the carriers and monitor inventory levels for compliance. Provide forecasts and direction to carriers on a timely basis. (Daily, monthly and annually).
• Work with carriers and agents to ensure no fuel outages at any UFA petroleum site. Monitor daily the carrier performance to ensure effective and efficient deliveries to the agent network. Ensure all transportation issues and opportunities are addressed with appropriate solutions. Track carrier liftings on a daily basis and provides information to Manager, Petroleum Supply. Coordinate the transportation of ~1.0 – 1.5 billion liters of fuel to 115 UFA petroleum sites.
• Maintain close communication with agents and area managers to ensure all agent/carrier issues are identified and resolved. Analyze, identify and recommend opportunities to improve distribution efficiencies and reduce costs, which will contribute to margin improvement.
• Conduct semiannual supplier relationship meetings with our carriers to review KPI's, opportunities for improvement, and acknowledge the successes.
• Perform monthly petroleum budget vs. actual analysis & reports. Develop and maintain key monthly decision tools/reports for the Petroleum division.
• Create and run ad hoc reports as requested/required by members of the Petroleum division.

Required Qualifications:

• 8-10 years’ experience and knowledge of the upstream and downstream petroleum industry with minimum 5 years proven experience in trucking distribution.
• Business or Economics degree.
• Proficient user of MS Office and SAP.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Able to manager, guide and lead carriers.
• A solid understanding of financial impacts of distribution and inventory decisions.
