UFA Co-operative is celebrating a milestone birthday this coming Sunday, January 14, marking 115 years of serving members and customers. It all began when the Alberta Farmers Association and the Farmers Society of Equity amalgamated to officially form the United Farmers of Alberta (UFA). Over the years, UFA has played a pivotal role in the agricultural landscape, from a small-scale farmers' collective to an official political party to the multi-faceted co-operative it is today.
Celebrating our history is a tribute to the resilience and solidarity of our member-owners and the strength of our shared co-operative values. UFA has empowered our farmer and rancher membership throughout the years, along with our commercial customers, providing a united voice, fostering economic stability and cultivating a sense of community where individuals collaborate for mutual benefit.
